CAD Exchanger Bach is a lightweight batch CAD translation solution. Thanks to a simple command line, without any programming, it allows you to read the main CAD formats (Catia, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, etc.) and write them in other 3D formats (JT, IGES, STEP, and others). Its main benefits are its contained price and its ease of use.
Read and write your CAD files in bulk
With CAD Exchanger you can exchange data in more than 30 CAD and BIM formats, preserving all design information: structure, geometry, metadata and other properties. Import data from native formats such as Solid Edge, Inventor, Solidworks, CATIA, NX and Creo without purchasing expensive native CAD system. Export your 3D data to STEP, JT, STL, OBJ and other 3D formats. Conversions are super fast thanks to intelligent parallel processing. Batch processes support the conversion of assemblies and parts, containing precise geometry (BREP) or meshes (tessellation). Metadata (names, identifiers, ...) and properties (colors, texture materials, ...) are supported. More information on the formats supported by CAD Exchanger.
Easy programming language and best practice for translation
Implementing a batch CAD model conversion process with CAD Exchanger is fast. Simple syntax and clear documentation will allow you to integrate the CAD Exchanger CLI solution into your environment. The numerous conversion parameters controlling the type of CAD format, the precision of the mesh, or the units are saved in an .ini file that can be shared to guarantee better translation practice between all users. Automate thumbnail generation (screenshot)
CAD Exchanger allows you to generate, via a command line, screenshots of your CAD models. Thumbnails can be saved in PNG, JPG or BMP formats. As with the conversion to 3D format, there are many settings that will allow you to choose the resolution, display mode, camera orientation, etc...
