ITI announced the release of Proficiency 16, the latest edition of its leading Feature Based CAD Interoperability solution for manufacturers and their suppliers. Proficiency enables the transfer of complete design intelligence between major CAD systems which includes geometry, features, sketches, manufacturing info, metadata, assembly information and drawings in the conversion process.
Proficiency Version 16.0 includes improved batch processing for large datasets, performance improvements for parts and assemblies, many new supported feature types, and support for new CAD versions. Proficiency 16.0 now allows batch processing of all assemblies within a folder. This simplifies project management, and does not require the user to identify top level assemblies by name when processing one or more assembly files.
Proficiency 16.0 also introduces new functionality for managing large and complex conversions using XML to automatically map file dependencies. This approach allows users to quickly identify the best strategy to process data (top down or bottom up), and gives them a new way to submit batch jobs greatly reducing the manual effort required to stage data for large migrations. Performance enhancements in Proficiency 16.0 include the ability to run parts and assemblies in parallel, the separation of sub-assemblies into individual tasks, and faster processing of previously imported parts (BREP geometry only).
New CAD Versions
- Added support for NX 11, including Completion Wizard, for geometry and feature based CAD exchange and migration
- Added support for Dassault Systèmes CATIA V5-6R2016 (Catia V5R26) for geometry and feature based CAD exchange and migration
- Added support for Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks 2015 and 2016 for geometry and feature based CAD exchange and migration
The new product release is available immediately worldwide and current customers can easily upgrade to version 16.
