Paris, Friday, October 18, 2024 - KISTERS, a leader in CAD visualization solutions, is proud to announce the release of 3DViewStation version 2024.6.410. This update continues to deliver innovative features and critical fixes to optimize workflows and enhance the performance of professionals in engineering, design, and project management.
Discover the new features of 3DViewStation Version 2024.6.410:
New in 3D Import:
- NX 2406
Features and Improvements:
- Structure Compare: Enhanced filters and visualization options for more accurate structure comparisons
- JT Import: Support for JT view background colors and automatic adjustment of PMI annotations
- Wall Thickness Measurement: Measurement across multiple solids, including during comparisons
- SVG Export: PMIs and Markups can be exported as text with the "PMI as text" setting (#1503)
Enhanced Structure Compare
The Structure Compare feature allows users to easily compare two versions of a CAD model by analyzing the differences in their structure trees. This 2024.6.410 version improves this functionality with new filters and visualization options, allowing users to focus on specific aspects such as geometry, physical properties, or transformations. Each change is visually highlighted, with the ability to zoom directly on the modifications for more precise analysis, making the review and design validation process much more efficient.
Extended JT Import Support
The new JT import support introduced in this version brings several key improvements. It is now possible to import JT views while preserving the original background color, ensuring visual continuity with design tools. Additionally, PMI annotations can be automatically adjusted to remain visible and readable, regardless of camera orientation. These enhancements improve the accuracy of JT file reuse and facilitate the integration of PMI data into downstream processes.
Wall Thickness Measurement on Multiple Solids
The Wall Thickness Measurement feature has been extended to allow measurements across multiple solids within an assembly. This is especially useful when comparing different versions of a model, as it allows users to identify thickness differences between components. With this feature, users can quickly assess thickness changes within an assembly, ensuring that the modifications made to a model do not compromise the structural integrity or critical tolerances of the parts.
Fixes:
- Fix for STEP import related to PMI data
- Performance improvements for DWG import
- Fix for camera angles in comparison mode
These updates in 3DViewStation 2024.6.410 are designed to meet the diverse needs of CAD professionals, offering a more efficient and flexible workflow. Whether for complex comparisons, large-scale projects, or detailed designs, this version is optimized to enhance user experience and ensure precise results.
The 2024.6.410 version is now available for customers with an active maintenance contract.
